Known for his joyful and festive melodies, this album reveals a more contemplative side of his art. While the infectious rhythms and optimism still resonate, they now tell stories of a tumultuous world, evoking the tears of his “inner tiger”—hence the album’s title, *Tigre qui pleure* (The Crying Tiger).
Recorded in Dakar and produced by GUTS, the album is a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Afro-Latin music. It features collaborations with talented musicians from West Africa and Cuba.
